![]() ![]() In Fable 4 we would want to see decisions have far-reaching repercussions that the player can never predict. And while the Fable games have always been good at giving consequences to player’s decisions, it could still come off as predictable and scripted. The Fable series was born at a time when giving player’s choices over their character’s morals was in vogue and a big part of many other contemporary games. While on the surface this would appear to be nothing more than a cosmetic system, it could also go a long way to making the player relate to their character and making the world presented in Fable 4 on the of the most realistic in all of gaming. ![]() 7 – Dynamic AppearanceĪnother long promised and only semi-delivered element of past Fable titles is that your character would literally show the scars of their journey and age according to the in-game clock. ![]() Whether it’s the 4v4 ideas of Fable Legends or something brand new, we just want to play with our friends in this awesome fantasy world. It doesn’t even have to be the ‘main’ focus of Fable 4, but including some type of social aspect in the game is a must. And speaking of other players… 8 – Multiplayerįable Legends may never see the light of day as it was originally promised but that doesn’t mean the dream of a multiplayer based Fable game has to go with it. So with this hypothetical 4th entry in the series, lets bring back this concept back and let players, across systems and game worlds trade and barter items among each other. Originally planned to be included in Fable III, the auction house was just one of many features that were promised over the course of the series to not make it into the final release (Peter Molyneux sometimes bites off more than he can chew). Fable 4 would definitely help generate hype for the Xbox One and get some players on the fence to jump over to Microsoft’s side of the gaming world. Sure There’s a couple of games on the horizon ( Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 namely) but this pales in comparison to the amount of system sellers coming to other systems. The Xbox One is STARVING for games, namely first party titles and exclusives. This might seem like an odd place to start this list but hear me out. And so I present to you the Top 10 Things I want to see in Fable 4. As a fan of the series my mind immediately got to thinking of all the things that could be done in a modern Fable game, especially considering its been eight years since the last ‘real’ game in the series (no Kinect games don’t count). In short, the report (first broken by Eurogamer) claimed that Fable 4 was in fact in development and being developed by the team behind the Forza Horizon team. It was a report that at first seemed ludicrous but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted it to be reality. We don't know for certain which platforms it'll be launching on either, but an educated guess puts this as coming to PC and Xbox Series X.A little while ago, while scanning through the daily gaming headlines one report caught my eye. Right now, there isn't a release date for Playground Games's Fable. However this was an "intent to use" update for the trademark, which meant all that Microsoft had to do to keep the trademark alive was acknowledge that they planned to use it at some point in the future. Shortly after, the Fable trademark was updated by Microsoft. While a new Fable game has been revealed, there's no Perfect Dark revival on the horizon. Two Twitter accounts, seemingly registered to Microsoft-related email addresses, surfaced for both Fable and Perfect Dark. Microsoft actually shot down rumors of a Fable reboot as recently as last month in June. In early 2018, a report claimed that the developer was hard at work on a Fable reboot, aside from continuing the Forza series, alternating as expected between the Motorsport/Horizon releases. The reveal of the Fable revival coming from Forza developer Playground Games shouldn't come as a massive surprise. ![]()
